MUMBAI: Veteran Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan has died at the age of 56, according to the report provided.
Khan, known for his memorable supporting roles in films including Welcome, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 and Stree 2, had reportedly been battling lung cancer.
He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai in critical condition and was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. He reportedly passed away on Thursday evening.
Khan began his screen career in 1980 with the film Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he appeared in several popular Hindi films, including Aashiqui, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.
He also worked extensively in both Hindi cinema and television and was recognized for his versatile performances in supporting roles.
