PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Higher Education, Archives and Libraries Department has issued official notifications for the appointment of new vice chancellors at several public-sector universities across the province.

The appointments were approved by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister in his capacity as chancellor. According to the notifications, all the newly appointed vice chancellors will serve a four-year term, beginning with an initial two-year period.

The newly appointed vice chancellors and their respective universities are:

Professor Dr Iqbal Munir — Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal, Upper Dir

Dr Imran Khan — Vice Chancellor, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar

Professor Dr Hassan Al-Amin — Vice Chancellor, University of Swat, Charbagh

Professor Dr Muhammad Idrees — Vice Chancellor, University of Malakand, Chakdara

Professor Dr Muhammad Naseemullah Qureshi — Vice Chancellor, University of Swabi

Professor Dr Sajid Rashid Ahmed — Vice Chancellor, The University of Haripur

Professor Dr Abdul Jalil Khan — Vice Chancellor, Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar

The appointments are part of the provincial government’s administrative arrangements for the leadership of public-sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
