Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi to engage all political parties in jointly advocating for the province’s interests.
The directive came during a meeting with PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha and KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. PPP Central Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan and Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon were also present.
The meeting reviewed the political and organisational situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bilawal was briefed on the party’s youth convention in Abbottabad and its public outreach campaign in Mansehra.
Expressing satisfaction over the party’s activities, Bilawal said the organisational performance in Abbottabad and Mansehra had been encouraging.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi informed the PPP chairman about the ongoing wheat crisis in the province.
Bilawal expressed concern over the situation and instructed the governor to play an active role in resolving the issue, similar to his efforts regarding the CNG sector.
The PPP chairman was also briefed on the taxation of the merged districts of former FATA and PATA, as well as the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bilawal reiterated his commitment to raising his voice for the rights of the people of former FATA and PATA and stressed the need for collective efforts to address the province’s key challenges.
