ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to grant a one-month bonus salary to employees of the Finance Department in recognition of their role in preparing the budget and managing key financial affairs.

According to sources, a special summary has been prepared recommending the payment of a bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary for employees involved in budget formulation and financial policymaking.

The summary has been forwarded by the Finance Secretary to the relevant authorities for approval.

Officials said the proposed incentive is intended to acknowledge the efforts of employees who play a critical role in the preparation of the budget and the development of fiscal policies.

The move is being viewed as a gesture of appreciation for their contribution and dedication.

News of the proposal has been welcomed by Finance Department employees, who described the planned bonus as a significant financial relief.

Employees said the incentive would help ease economic pressures while also boosting morale and productivity.

Reports indicate that the summary will now be presented before the relevant forum for final approval.

If endorsed, eligible Finance Department employees will receive an additional month’s salary as a bonus during the current fiscal year.
