KARACHI: Additional Inspector General Azaad Khan stated that 869 numbers were discovered on the mobile phone of Anmol, alias Pinky, who was arrested in a drug trafficking case. Among these, 132 are registered in Karachi.
During a press conference held in Karachi, Police Chief Azaad Khan stated that Pinky’s case is a significant test for the police, and he assured that they will pursue it to a logical conclusion. He remarked that Pinky’s operations would ultimately lead to her downfall.
He further explained that the investigation is not confined to Karachi; arrests have been made of individuals involved in buying and selling drugs from her. The facilitators associated with Pinky are also being apprehended. A raid on Pinky’s former residence in Sachal resulted in the seizure of additional drugs, which were confirmed to be sourced from outside the region.
Azaad Khan mentioned that the details of the accused’s bank accounts have been obtained, revealing a transaction of Rs 300 million. The network also includes individuals from Africa, and it was noted that the accused had been operating out of Punjab.
Additionally, the Additional Inspector General indicated that the FIA and Cyber Crime units have been contacted regarding the Pinky case, and a comprehensive investigation is currently underway.
A total of 869 numbers have been identified on the mobile phone of Anmol, with 132 of those being linked to Karachi. He reiterated that this case is a critical one for law enforcement, and action will be taken against all individuals involved.
