PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Department has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of two senior police officers in the public interest.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dated September 30, 2026, the orders were issued under Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
Under the notification, Flt. Lt. (retd.) Riffat Ullah Khan PSP (BS-18) has been transferred from his post as District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda and posted as DPO Hangu, with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Tariq Habib PSP (BS-18) has been transferred from his position as DPO Hangu and posted as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Human Rights & Gender Equality, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The notification was signed by Zulfiqar Hameed, PSP, Provincial Police Officer, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Copies of the notification have been forwarded to senior police authorities, including the Additional Inspector General of Police at Police Headquarters and Internal Accountability Branch, the Regional Police Officers of Mardan and Kohat, the concerned district police officers and other relevant departments and officials.
The transfers and postings have taken effect immediately.
