ISLAMABAD: Women registered as beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) have been urged to obtain their free Benazir SIM before the deadline of September 30.
According to a statement issued by BISP, beneficiaries who have not yet received their Benazir SIM should visit their nearest BISP office as soon as possible. They have been advised to bring their original CNIC and mobile phone with them to collect the SIM.
BISP warned that beneficiaries who fail to obtain the SIM may not be able to receive their stipend payments.
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid also urged eligible women who have not yet collected their free SIM to obtain it from their nearest BISP office before September 30.
How to Activate the Benazir SIM
BISP has clarified that the Benazir SIM will be activated at the BISP office by a representative of the relevant mobile phone company.
Senator Rubina Khalid advised beneficiaries to ask BISP staff to insert the SIM into their mobile phone themselves when handing it over.

The free SIMs are being issued as BISP moves towards making payments to eligible beneficiaries through their e-wallets.
Beneficiaries who have already received their SIM but are unsure how to activate it have also been advised to visit the BISP office and seek assistance from the relevant staff or mobile company representative.
