ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 38.04 per litre since July, following the decision to determine petroleum prices on a daily basis.
According to the latest figures, petrol was priced at Rs320.73 per litre on July 22, while its current price has reached Rs358.77 per litre. During the same period, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) increased by Rs14.56 per litre.
On July 22, diesel was being sold at Rs367.21 per litre, compared with the current price of Rs381.77 per litre.
The government has maintained the petroleum levy at Rs80 per litre each on petrol and diesel.
Latest Petrol Price Hike
On Monday, the government has announced a Rs12.90 per litre increase in petrol prices, taking the new petrol price to Rs358.77 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs3.72 per litre, bringing it to Rs381.77 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) determined the revised prices, while the Petroleum Division issued the notification.
The new prices will take effect for one day on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
