A new debate has erupted on social media in various circles following reports about an alleged mastermind behind the attack in Quetta, in which more than 14 civilians were martyred, and dozens of others were injured.

Some commentators note that this individual has been previously claimed as a missing person, raising questions about human rights narratives and security issues.

In the ongoing social media reaction, some individuals argue that instead of promoting a one-sided narrative on human rights, attention should also be given to protecting the rights and lives of Pakistani citizens affected by terrorism.

Commentators stated that declaring someone a missing person does not automatically imply innocence. It is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to conduct transparent investigations into every case.

Many believe that if a person is innocent, they should receive full legal protection. However, if there is evidence of their involvement in terrorism or the killings of civilians, they must be held accountable under the law.
