BANNU: The Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bannu, has announced a partial postponement of the annual examinations for Higher Secondary Schools and Intermediate students due to the security situation and the imposition of a curfew in certain areas of North Waziristan district and Bannu.
According to a statement issued by the board, the district administration has imposed a weekly curfew on the Bannu Bakakhel Miranshah Road. As a result, the exams scheduled for Saturdays in the examination centres located on this highway have been postponed.
A letter signed by the Controller of Examinations, Muhammad Farooq Khan, clarified that the postponed exams will now be held after the Eid al-azha holidays. The new schedule for these exams will be released soon on the board’s official website, www.biseb.edu.pk.
Board officials have confirmed that examinations in all other areas and cities will continue as scheduled, without any changes. Candidates from the affected areas are advised to stay updated through the board’s website and media channels for the latest information. This decision has been made in the interest of public safety and to ensure a transparent and secure examination process.
