The price of gold in Pakistan and the global market witnessed a massive decline on Tuesday after two days of a consecutive hike.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs8,900, bringing the new rate to Rs485,062, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs7,630, settling at Rs415,862. Also, the price of 10 gram of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs6,995 to be sold for Rs381,220.

The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by just $89, reaching $4,627 per ounce. Silver prices also followed the same trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs238 to be sold for Rs7,811. Similarly, 10 grams of silver also decreased to be sold for Rs6,696.
