Historic first: PSL introduces Pashto commentary in fan-centric move
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has introduced Pashto commentary for the first time in its history, marking a significant step toward greater regional inclusion in the popular cricket league.
In partnership with Peshawar Zalmi, this service will be provided through a digital platform in all upcoming matches for the season featuring the team.
The objective of this decision is to involve more people, especially those speaking the Pashto language, in the league by bringing them closer through commentary in their own language.
In the coming match, Peshawar Zalmi will play againLst Islamabad. If they win the game, then they will make it to the final game; otherwise, they will go straight to the elimination game.
The final game of PSL Season 11 will take place on May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
PCB opens all PSL matches to spectators
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that spectators will now be allowed to attend all three playoff matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), following formal approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The decision was confirmed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi after a meeting with the Prime Minister. While granting permission for public attendance, the Premier emphasised that the move must align with the government’s ongoing national austerity drive. Consequently, fans are strongly encouraged to utilise public transport or adopt measures to minimise fuel consumption while travelling to the stadiums.
Prime Minister Sharif also extended his best wishes to the four teams competing in the playoffs. This development ensures a full stadium atmosphere for the crucial final stages of the tournament, balancing public interest with the country’s resource conservation efforts.
