In a crucial match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen qualified for the play-off stage by defeating Rawalpindi, while Lahore Qalandars were eliminated from the event.
In the match, Hyderabad Kingsmen scored a big total while batting first, in response to which Rawalpindi team was bundled out for only 136 runs in pursuit of a target of 245 runs, thus Hyderabad won after a one-sided match.
Usman Khawaja was the standout batsman with 66 runs, whose excellent innings put the team in a strong position.
Rawalpindi’s bowling line was disappointing in terms of performance, especially Mohammad Amir, who proved to be expensive, he gave away 57 runs in his 4 overs and could not take any wickets.
After this victory, Hyderabad Kingsmen made it to the play-offs based on 10 points and a better run rate, while Lahore Qalandars team was eliminated from the tournament.
