The provincial government has clarified the features of the “Ehsaas Internship Program”, which aims to provide practical training to the youth graduates before they start their careers.

A high-level meeting was held in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi in which a detailed briefing was given on the proposed “Ehsaas Internship Program”. It was informed in the meeting that this program is especially for those students domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who have recently completed their BS degree.

Under the program, the selected interns will be given a monthly remuneration of Rs 25,000, while the internship period will be a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months. Regarding the educational standard, it has been decided that only those students who have a CGPA of 3.0 or more will be considered eligible for this program. To run this system in the best possible way, special coordination offices will also be established at the level of all government universities and degree colleges.

Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi said that the main objective of this program is to prepare students according to the needs of the market. He further said that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will formally inaugurate this revolutionary program very soon.
