Earthquakes were felt in Mingora, the main city of Swat, and its surrounding areas, causing residents to evacuate their homes and buildings in panic.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale. Its epicentre was located in the “Taksan” area, near the border with Afghanistan, at a depth of 185 kilometres.
So far, there have been no reports of loss of life or property. Relevant agencies are monitoring the situation, and citizens have been advised to contact the local administration in case of any emergencies.
