The Peshawar Sessions Court has dismissed a claim for one billion rupees in damages filed by Malik Tariq Awan, a member of the provincial assembly from the PML-N, against former PTI provincial minister Kamran Bangash.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Alamgir Shah issued a written decision following the conclusion of the case hearing. Malik Tariq Awan had claimed that Kamran Bangash made baseless and fabricated accusations against him during a protest in 2024, alleging his association with the land-grabbing mafia and other serious offences.

Awan argued that these statements not only harmed his reputation but also subjected him to significant political and social pressure. Ultimately, the court ruled the claim against Kamran Bangash as inadmissible.
