‎President Asif Ali Zardari has returned home after completing a 5-day official visit to China.

‎At the end of the visit, the President left for Pakistan from Sanya Airport, where he was seen off by senior leader of the Chinese Communist Party Wang Qiang.

‎According to official sources, significant progress was made during the visit to promote cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture and desalination. In addition, significant progress was also made regarding the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) ‘CPEC 2.0’.

‎During the visit, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were also signed between the two countries to enhance cooperation in various fields, which are being described as an important step towards further strengthening bilateral relations.

‎During the visit, the President also visited several historical sites in China.
