PESHAWAR: Former Pakistan captain and legendary batter Younis Khan has joined the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League as the league commissioner, where he will oversee key cricketing and administrative affairs of the tournament.
As per details, Younis Khan will be assigned to supervise cricket related activities, rules, regulations, techniques, format and other cricket-related activities in the league.
Ex-Pakistan team captain and all-round cricketing legend Shahid Khan Afridi has been made the brand ambassador of the league.
Besides, several former and current international cricketers from Pakistan are also expected to join the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League.
The inauguration ceremony of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League will take place on July 18 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, where the tournament schedule, future activities, talent search program, and other important information will be revealed.
The inauguration ceremony will be graced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, governor, government officials, and other celebrities from different walks of life.
A live musical concert will also be held during the launch ceremony, featuring performances by popular singer Aima Baig and renowned Pashto artist Rahim Shah.
Free tickets have been allocated for cricket fans wishing to attend the event.
