ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday predicted rain with strong winds and thunderstorms to lash parts of the country.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that light rain is likely in most of the plain areas of provinces, including Peshawar, during the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, rain is also expected in Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Dir, and other upper districts today, which is expected to make the weather pleasant.
Rain and hail are expected at a few places in the upper areas of the country; however, the weather is likely to remain hot in South Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. Rain is likely in Kashmir and North-East Punjab.
Rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is also likely at a few places in the Potohar region. During this time, hail is also possible; the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in other parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department says that light to moderate rain may be recorded in some areas along with cloudy weather. Due to the rain, there is a possibility of a decrease in temperature and a decrease in the intensity of heat. Relevant agencies have been instructed to monitor the weather situation, and citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.
