The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important message urging citizens to update their marital status in its records after getting married.

In a statement, NADRA said citizens must update their marital status after obtaining a computerised marriage certificate from their respective Union Council. The update ensures that family records maintained by the authority remain accurate and up to date.

According to NADRA, updating marital status also helps facilitate the issuance of children’s B-Forms, identity cards and passports. It also enables citizens to obtain a Family Registration Certificate (FRC) and a succession certificate when required.

NADRA has advised citizens to visit their nearest NADRA registration office or use the Pak ID mobile application to update their marital status.
