PESHAWAR: All public and private educational institutions in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will remain closed on Monday, October 12, in view of the prevailing situation following the imposition of an emergency in the province.

According to district administrations, schools, colleges and universities in Swabi, Mardan and Nowshera will remain closed for the day.

The District Education Officer Swabi and the deputy commissioner have confirmed the closure of all public and private educational institutions across the district in view of the current situation.

Similarly, the Deputy Commissioner Mardan has ordered the closure of all government and private schools, colleges and universities in the district on October 12. All examinations and papers scheduled for Monday have also been cancelled.

In Nowshera, Deputy Commissioner Gohar Zaman has announced the closure of all public and private educational institutions. The district administration said that academic activities would remain suspended, while all examinations scheduled for the day had also been cancelled.

The relevant authorities and heads of educational institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the closure orders.

It is worth noting that separate notifications regarding the closure of educational institutions have been issued at the district level across various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
