ISLAMABAD: A large number of Pakistani young people aspire to seek employment abroad, but many job seekers fall victim to fraudsters who exploit their desire to work overseas by making false promises of foreign jobs.

For Pakistanis looking for employment abroad, the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) provides an official platform where they can search for vacancies according to their skills and verify jobs offered through licensed recruiting agencies.

Thousands of overseas job vacancies are listed on the BEOE’s foreign jobs portal. Job seekers can use the platform to search for vacancies and verify whether a job has been offered by a registered recruiting agency.

Under the Emigration Rules, 1979, the Protector of Emigrants issues licensed recruiting agencies permission to recruit workers for specific vacancies for a defined period after the required documents submitted by the agency are verified through the relevant authorities.

Each recruitment permission is assigned a unique number, which must be mentioned in advertisements for the relevant vacancies. Once permission is granted, the vacancies are automatically displayed on the BEOE website under a Permission Tracking Number (PTN) for the specified period.

The vacancies are automatically removed from the portal once the permission period expires or the recruitment process is completed.

The relevant recruiting agency is responsible for workers recruited against these vacancies. Job seekers who face problems can lodge complaints with the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment or the concerned Protector of Emigrants.

citizens seeking overseas employment can access the official Foreign Jobs Portal at BEOE Foreign Jobs Portal to search for and verify available vacancies.
