The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has outlined a simple procedure for citizens seeking to update their marital status in official records.
According to a post shared by NADRA, citizens who wish to update their marital status after marriage must first obtain a computerized marriage certificate from the relevant Union Council, Cantonment Board or Municipal Committee.
Applicants can then visit their nearest NADRA Registration Centre along with the CRMS number to have their marital status updated.
NADRA also said citizens can update their marital status from home through the Pak ID mobile application, offering an alternative to visiting a registration centre.
The authority has also urged citizens to remain cautious of fake tracking IDs and misleading information circulating on social media platforms.
NADRA said tracking IDs will not be provided through comments on its social media accounts and advised citizens not to share their tracking IDs publicly in comment sections in order to protect their personal information.
Citizens have been advised to rely only on NADRA’s official sources and verified platforms for information and assistance.
