PESHAWAR: Peshawar Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in circulating counterfeit currency in various markets of the Saddar area and recovered fake Pakistani currency worth Rs113,000 from his possession.
According to police, the suspect, a resident of Nasir Bagh, allegedly purchase goods from unsuspecting shopkeepers in Saddar and hand over counterfeit notes before fleeing the scene.
Acting promptly on information about the activity, police arrested the suspect near Bilour Plaza on Saddar Road.
Police said Rs113,000 in counterfeit Pakistani currency was recovered from the suspect. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
