WASHINGTON: The United States has issued an urgent travel advisory urging its citizens to leave the Middle East region immediately. The advisory comes as tensions rise following joint US-Israel attacks against Iran, which have significantly increased regional instability.

The US Department of State has issued an advisory that recommends American citizens to evacuate from more than 12 Middle Eastern countries. American citizens face danger, according to US officials who recommend immediate evacuation because security conditions have worsened and there is an increased risk of attacks.

The advisory specifically urges Americans in Israel, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and other countries in the region to leave as soon as possible via commercial flights. U.S. citizens should stay indoors except for necessary activities while following the instructions from local authorities.

The West Bank and Gaza regions which already had existing high-risk security areas now face new security regulations that establish even greater danger zones. US embassies and consulates have entered a state of emergency security preparedness which includes enhanced protection measures to respond to possible security threats.

The U.S. government announced that current conditions require immediate implementation of stricter enforcement policies which the government plans to announce shortly. The U.S. Department of State advises citizens to maintain their awareness about current events by checking both the Department’s website and all diplomatic mission updates.

The US advisory demonstrates that experts believe there exists a dangerous situation that could lead to more violence in the region and potential large-scale military conflicts. The U.S. government decided to remove American citizens from the area.
