NOWSHERA: Two people were killed and three others were seriously injured in a horrific collision between a brick-laden tractor-trolley and a freight dumper near Azakhel Payan, Nowshera.
According to Rescue 1122, three people were trapped inside the dumper after the accident. Rescue 1122’s Disaster Rescue Team immediately reached the site and safely extracted them using modern equipment and hydraulic cutters.
As soon as the Rescue 1122 control room received the report, ambulances, a Disaster and Rescue Vehicle, and special rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and rescue operations began immediately. Rescue personnel demonstrated professional expertise and pulled all three trapped individuals out of the dumper with the help of advanced rescue equipment.
During the operation, the bodies of two deceased persons were also recovered from the dumper. After providing first aid at the site, the injured were shifted to hospital. According to Rescue 1122, the deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Javed and 25-year-old Fawad, both residents of Kandaron.
District Emergency Officer Nowshera Malik Ashfaq Hussain said that the entire Rescue 1122 staff remained at the accident site and was engaged in relief operations.
