PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted wind, storm and rain from June 16 to 20 across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Islamabad.
According to Meteorological Department there is a possibility of thundershowers in upper and central areas of country from 16 to 20 June.
Thunderstorms, heavy rain and wind storms have been predicted in various areas of Punjab, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
While Met office also predicted rain in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan till June 22.
During this periods heavy rain and hail is also expected at some places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Islamabad. There is a possibility of urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Faisalabad.
Met office also cautioned citizens about weak structures may be damaged due to strong wind and hail. Solar panels, electricity poles and signboards may be damaged.
There is a risk of landslides in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Northern and northeastern districts of Balochistan are also likely to experience wind and rain during 16 June to 20 June.
According to the Met office dusty winds and thunderstorms are likely in upper Sindh, while light rain and dusty winds is expected in Karachi and surrounding areas.
Farmers are advised to take care of crops according to the weather conditions and tourists and travelers are also advised to avoid unnecessary travel during this spell.
According to Met westerly winds are likely to enter the upper areas of the country from June 16.
People should take precautionary measures during bad weather, while institutions should be alert to deal with possible emergencies.
