ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has extended the date for obtaining Benazir Mobile SIM keeping in mind the convenience of women beneficiaries.
According to the officials, now eligible women can get their mobile SIM from their nearest BISP office free of cost till June 30, 2026.
BISP officials have requested all beneficiaries that if they have not yet obtained their Benazir Mobile SIM, they should immediately contact the nearest BISP office with their personal mobile phone.
It may be recalled that the Government of Pakistan, taking an important decision under the Prime Minister’s cashless Pakistan strategic roadmap, had announced to transfer all Benazir Income Support Program users to the digital wallet system.
Under this project, millions of eligible beneficiaries of the program will be provided financial assistance through modern digital wallets so that the funds are transferred directly and without any deductions to their accounts.
According to officials, the use of the digital wallet system will increase transparency, significantly reduce the chances of corruption and banking delays, while also providing financial independence to female beneficiaries.
According to the government, this system will not only facilitate the deserving but will also help in strengthening the country’s economy on a digital basis.
