ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has set September 10, 2026, as the final date for eligible women to obtain their free mobile SIMs under the programme.
According to BISP authorities, all women receiving financial assistance through the programme must collect their free SIM from their nearest BISP office by the deadline.
Officials have warned that beneficiaries who have not yet obtained their free “Benazir SIM” may not receive their quarterly payment under the Benazir Kafaalat programme.
BISP has urged all eligible women to visit their nearest office as soon as possible and complete the process to ensure the timely and transparent disbursement of their quarterly financial assistance.
Officials said beneficiaries should also complete the verification and issuance process for the SIM linked to their device.
The initiative is being implemented under the principle of “Get the SIM, receive the payment,” with beneficiaries encouraged to complete the required process before the September 10 deadline.
Women who are already registered beneficiaries of BISP have been advised not to wait until the last date and to obtain their free SIM at the earliest.
Important Update for BISP Beneficiaries as New SIM Card Instructions Announced
Earlier, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has issued important instructions for its beneficiaries regarding the issuance and use of SIM cards under the programme.
During an e-Kacheri session, BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid advised eligible women beneficiaries who have not yet received their free Benazir SIM card from a BISP office, or who are using SIM cards obtained from other sources, to collect their official SIM cards from the nearest BISP office.
She instructed beneficiaries to bring their original identity cards and personal mobile phones when visiting the office to receive the SIM card. She also advised them to ensure that the SIM is installed in their mobile phones by the authorized staff at the time of collection.
Senator Rubina Khalid said that once financial assistance is transferred to the digital wallet, beneficiaries will receive an SMS notification from the relevant bank. A confirmation message will also be sent after withdrawal of funds, containing details of the transferred and received amount, which will serve as proof of payment.
The BISP chairperson warned beneficiaries not to hand over their mobile phones to any agents, stressing that receiving payments only requires an original identity card and biometric verification. A mobile phone is not needed for cash withdrawal.
She also suggested women to always carry their mobile phones and phone number registered so that no one could delete any information or message that is essential to them.
The authorities of BISP stressed on the point that all the payments and services provided by BISP are free and the beneficiaries must be vigilant about frauds.
