ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Fadley is arriving in Pakistan on Wednesday for an official visit aimed at expanding cooperation in agriculture, food security and water management.
During his visit, the Saudi minister and his delegation are expected to meet Pakistani officials to discuss opportunities for increasing agricultural production, improving irrigation systems and strengthening food security in both countries.
The talks are also expected to cover cooperation in livestock, food processing and other agriculture-related sectors, with both sides likely to exchange expertise, technical knowledge and modern practices to improve the sustainability and efficiency of the agricultural sector.
The visit comes as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia seek to broaden their economic partnership and build stronger cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The two sides are also expected to explore opportunities for investment in the food security sector, particularly in long-term projects aimed at increasing production and meeting the growing food requirements of both countries.
The visit is expected to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia while opening new avenues for economic and agricultural cooperation.
