Provincial Disaster Management Authority PDMA has issued a report on the damages caused by strong wind and rain, casuing death of two persons and injuring 31 others.

According to PDMA, 2 people have died so far, while 31 people have been injured due to strong winds, lightning, and the collapse of walls and roofs of houses. PDMA said that the dead include two men.

The injured include seven women, 16 men, and 8 children. All these accidents occurred in different districts of the province – Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Bannu. According to PDMA, the district administration and all relevant institutions are on alert and are in close contact with each other.

The authority has directed the administration of the affected districts to provide relief to the victims as soon as possible. PDMA has warned that the current series of rain and strong winds is likely to continue intermittently until June 5.

The authority’s Emergency Operations Center is fully operational, and the public can contact it for any information, awareness, or assistance.
