PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership has decided to suspend the ongoing negotiation process with dissident members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
According to a party statement, the parliamentary and political coordination committee has been directed not to engage with lawmakers who have raised party or government-related matters in the media.
The statement said that no formal contact would be maintained with members attempting to weaken party discipline or exert pressure on the leadership through public statements.
PTI leadership further stated that lawmakers with grievances or concerns are being heard through appropriate party forums, and their issues will be resolved internally.
The party maintained that members who presented their reservations directly before the leadership would have their concerns addressed on a priority basis.
However, bringing internal matters into the public domain or using media platforms to pressure the party would not be encouraged.
