ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has decided to introduce a modernized passport delivery system aimed at ensuring timely and secure doorstep delivery of passports to citizens.

The decision was discussed during an important meeting held at the headquarters under the chairmanship of Director General Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. Representatives of a private courier service also attended the session.

The meeting reviewed proposals to further improve the passport delivery mechanism by making it faster, more efficient, and public-friendly.

Officials said the new system would enable passports to be delivered safely and on time directly to citizens’ homes through an upgraded digital service framework.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the department was continuously taking steps to provide modern, transparent, and convenient services to the public.

He directed the relevant authorities to ensure the swift implementation of the digital delivery system so citizens could benefit from easier access to passport services.

According to officials, the use of modern technology will further enhance the efficiency of the passport dispatch process and provide improved at-home facilities for the public.
