A police constable was martyred in a targeted firing incident on Naqilab Road within the limits of Chamkani Police Station, Peshawar.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Constable Ibrahim, resident of Shabqadar. He was posted at Ghallanai Police Station in Mohmand District.
Police officials said the constable was traveling in an onion-loaded vehicle along with the driver when unknown assailants opened fire.
The attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, fled the scene after the attack.
Police have collected evidence from the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
