The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms across parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next two to five hours.
According to the Met Office, a weather system affecting the region is likely to bring rain and thunderstorms to Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Haveli, Bagh, Kotli, Bhimber and Mirpur in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the forecast covers Mansehra, Abbottabad, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Charsadda, Mardan and the Galiyat.
The PMD warned that isolated areas may receive moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms. The department has advised residents to exercise caution, particularly in vulnerable areas, and to stay updated through official weather advisories.
