According to the latest weather report issued from Islamabad, the weather is likely to remain extremely hot and dry in most parts of the country today, April 27, 2026. The Meteorological Department has warned that the temperature may be recorded 3 to 5 degrees Celsius higher than normal in the plains of Punjab, Sindh and central Balochistan, due to which the intensity of the heat will continue to increase.
The sun will remain hot in most cities of Punjab province, including Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad, however, dusty winds are likely to blow in southern Punjab and upper Sindh in the afternoon. The weather will also remain hot in the federal capital Islamabad and its surroundings, but the weather is expected to improve somewhat with strong winds and light rain with thundershowers at a few places in northeastern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Potohar region in the evening.
The weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir with scattered drizzle. The weather in the coastal city of Karachi will remain moderate due to sea breezes, but the heat will be felt more due to high humidity. Health experts have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to the intense sun and to drink plenty of water to avoid the effects of the heatwave.
