ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel, with the revised rates coming into effect from August 25.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification announcing an increase of 39 paisa per litre in petrol prices and Rs2.40 per litre in diesel prices.

According to the notification, the new petrol price has been set at Rs341.98 per litre, up from Rs341.59.

The price of high-speed diesel has been increased to Rs370.69 per litre, compared with the previous rate of Rs368.29.

The latest adjustment will increase fuel costs for consumers and could have an impact on transportation and the prices of goods and services.
