PESHAWAR: A total of 163 new dengue cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this week, taking the province’s cumulative tally to 1,690, according to the health department.
The department said 1,454 suspected dengue cases were reported across the province during the week.
Kohat remains the worst-affected district, with 1,023 confirmed cases, followed by Peshawar with 316 cases, according to health department data.
No dengue-related death has been reported in the province so far this year.
The rise in cases comes as changing weather conditions provide favorable conditions for the spread of dengue mosquitoes, prompting health authorities to continue monitoring the situation.
