PESHAWAR: The district administration has imposed Section 144 in Peshawar ahead of Independence Day celebrations on August 14 to maintain law and order.

The restrictions will remain in force until August 15. Under the order, aerial firing, one-wheeling and fireworks have been banned across the city.

The administration has urged citizens to comply with the restrictions and avoid activities that could pose a threat to public safety during the Independence Day celebrations.

According to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the restrictions prohibit aerial firing, one-wheeling, and the sale and purchase of toy guns, toy horns and fireworks.

The administration has urged residents to comply with the restrictions and celebrate Independence Day in a safe, peaceful and responsible manner.
