PESHAWAR: The district administration has launched a crackdown on the preparation and sale of unsafe and substandard minced meat, arresting four people during an operation on Dalazak Road.

Additional Assistant Commissioner (Faqirabad) officials took action against a group allegedly involved in preparing minced meat using unhygienic meat, chemicals and animal remains.

The authorities seized the unsafe meat and minced meat during the operation.

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar directed officials to take strict action in accordance with the law against those involved in the preparation and sale of substandard food items.

The district administration also urged citizens to promptly report the sale of unsafe or substandard meat and other food products to the authorities.

Officials said action against the preparation and sale of hazardous food items would continue without interruption to protect public health and safety.
