The disaster management authority has directed the district administrations of Haripur, Swabi and Nowshera to remain on high alert and ensure preparedness for any emergency situation arising from the increased river flow.

The PDMA has also advised the public to avoid visiting the banks of the Indus River and refrain from swimming, boating and fishing until further notice to prevent any untoward incidents.
