ISLAMABAD, The Foreign Office on Monday strongly rejected allegations by India’s Home Minister linking Pakistan to certain arrests made in India, calling the claims “baseless” and part of a “malicious propaganda campaign” against Pakistan.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said the Indian minister’s remarks were aimed at diverting attention from India’s own internal security challenges and pursuing narrow political objectives by blaming Pakistan.
”Such propaganda is yet another manifestation of India’s ill-intentioned campaign against Pakistan,” the spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson added that India is an “oppressive state internally” that suppresses minorities and silences dissent, while also “exporting terrorism abroad and supporting terrorists.”
The Foreign Office said baseless allegations cannot divert international attention from India’s “state-sponsored terrorism, targeted killings and subversive activities abroad.” It noted that Pakistan has shared evidence with the international community multiple times regarding India’s involvement in terrorism and destabilization activities inside Pakistan.
The statement cited Kulbhushan Jadhav a serving Indian naval commander convicted for involvement in terrorism and sabotage in Pakistan, as “irrefutable proof of India’s direct involvement.”
Pakistan urged the international community to reject India’s baseless accusations and hold India accountable for “state-sponsored terrorism in the region.”
