ISLAMABAD: Easypaisa has dismissed circulating rumours regarding its alleged shutdown or disruption of services, stating that the platform remains fully operational, secure, and committed to expanding digital financial inclusion in Pakistan.
In an official statement, the company said reports shared on social media and other platforms claiming service suspension or instability were “baseless and false.” It clarified that all services continue to function normally without interruption.
Easypaisa emphasized that it is not only maintaining its existing services but also strengthening its digital financial ecosystem to provide users with more reliable and advanced solutions.
The company noted that it launched Pakistan’s first mobile wallet in 2008 and has since grown into one of the country’s largest digital financial service platforms, serving millions of users nationwide.
It further stated that following its transition in 2025 into Pakistan’s first and largest digital bank, Easypaisa has continued to expand its service portfolio, offering enhanced mobile banking, bill payment, and financial transaction services.
According to the statement, the platform operates under the regulatory framework of the State Bank of Pakistan, and customer funds remain fully secure.
Easypaisa also addressed a recent temporary service disruption, describing it as a technical issue that was resolved promptly. The company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and said system upgrades have been implemented to improve stability, performance, and security.
Reaffirming its commitment, Easypaisa said customer trust remains its top priority and that it will continue to play a key role in promoting digital financial services and financial inclusion across Pakistan.
