The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has categorically denied the claims of alleged missile and jet attacks by the Pakistani army in Kunar province by the Afghan media outlet Tolo News as completely false and fabricated.
Tolo News had claimed that on April 27, Pakistani forces targeted Syed Jamaluddin Afghan University and residential areas in Kunar province, resulting in the deaths of 3 people, including women and children, and injuries to 45 others.
The Ministry of Information, in its fact check, clarified the truth of these claims and said that this is a white lie by the Afghan media aimed at diverting international attention from the support provided by the Afghan Taliban to terrorist groups like Fitna al-Khawarij and gaining sympathy by playing the victimisation card.
The authorities have clarified that there was no attack on Syed Jamaluddin Afghan University, and the casualty figures are completely absurd.
According to the Ministry of Information, these news stories spread by the Afghan media and officials with the help of the Indian propaganda machinery are part of the old game under which lies are fabricated and spread through the Indian media.
The statement said that the Afghan Taliban government, after failing to provide governance and welfare to its people, is now relying only on spreading misinformation and hatred, and all these tactics are an extension of false flag operations learned from Indian masters.
The spokesperson further clarified that Pakistan rejects all these absurd allegations, and Pakistan’s position in this regard is very clear. Whenever and wherever Pakistan targets the terrorist network present in Afghanistan under Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haq, it will be a regular declared action like in the past, for which full responsibility will be accepted, and concrete evidence of targeting the infrastructure of terrorism will also be presented.
The Ministry of Information has clarified that Pakistan’s actions are always intelligence-based and accurate, and facts cannot be distorted through fabricated allegations.
