ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has released version 5.6.6 of its Pak ID mobile application, introducing a new feature that allows applicants to preview their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) before submitting an online application.

According to a statement issued by NADRA, the updated app includes a “View Card” feature, enabling users to review the expected appearance and details of their CNIC before finalising their application.

The authority said applicants can now verify all personal information displayed on the digital preview and correct any errors by returning to the relevant fields before submitting the application, reducing the likelihood of mistakes and improving the overall application process.

Separately, NADRA announced that digital registration of births, deaths, marriages and divorces through the Pak ID platform has also been launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the first phase, the service is available across all Village and Neighbourhood Councils in Peshawar district. NADRA said the initiative will be expanded gradually to cover the rest of the province in subsequent phases.

The authority said the latest measures are part of its ongoing efforts to enhance digital public services and make identity registration more accessible and efficient for citizens.
