KOHAT: Member of the National Assembly Shahryar Afridi has threatened to move a privilege motion against the District Police Officer (DPO) of Kohat over the deteriorating law and order situation and poor police performance in the city.

‎Speaking to reporters in Kohat, Afridi expressed concern over the rise in drug trafficking and increasing criminal activities. He said residents are feeling unsafe due to the police’s “ineffective response.”

‎Afridi alleged that drug dealing is taking place openly in Kohat and police have failed to take strict action against those involved.

‎Law and Order: He said the worsening security situation has created fear among citizens.

‎The MNA criticized the DPO and local police for negligence in maintaining peace and public safety.

‎Afridi warned that if immediate measures are not taken to improve the situation, he will submit a privilege motion against the DPO in the National Assembly.

‎He urged the provincial government and senior police officials to take notice and ensure that law enforcement agencies fulfill their responsibility to protect citizens.
