WASHINGTON: Mass protests broke out across the country on Saturday against President Donald Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran, with an estimated 7 million people taking to the streets. The protests under the banner of “No Kings” saw people from all over the country demand an immediate end to the war that is currently being waged.

At the protests held in New York, the renowned Hollywood actor Robert De Niro was also seen taking part in the protests against President Trump. In a sharp commentary against President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran, the renowned Hollywood actor said at the “No Kings” Day protest rally, “Trump cannot carry out his wrongful acts without the complicity of Congress and his staff. Corrupt leaders should be stopped from enriching themselves at the expense of the people.”

The protests against President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran continued into Sunday as well, with over 3,200 protests being held across all 50 states. It is expected to be one of the largest protests by people against the war being waged by President Trump.

The protests against the war on Iran have not been confined to the United States only. In Israel, the biggest protests held so far have taken place, where the protesters have been condemning the involvement of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in the war on Iran. Despite the efforts of the Israeli authorities to disband the protesters, the demonstrations continued. The women and the elderly also participated in the protest rallies held in Tel Aviv, demanding an end to the war on Iran, which was imposed on the country.

The anti-war rallies have not been confined to the United States or Israel only, as “No Kings” rallies have been held all over the world. In Europe and Australia, thousands of protesters took to the streets in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia, condemning the administration of President Trump for the war on Iran. The protesters held placards, raising slogans for diplomacy and peace, just like the millions around the world who have been condemning the military aggression on Iran.

The unprecedented rallies held around the world indicate the growing opposition to the war on Iran, where citizens around the world have been demanding an immediate ceasefire.
