ISLAMABAD: Easypaisa users will have to pay different service charges when using certain financial and digital services, depending on the type and amount of the transaction.

In this connection, the company has provided details of applicable fees through its schedule of charges and advises customers to check the latest charges before making a transaction.

According to Easypaisa, users transferring money to another bank account through Raast are charged different fees based on the amount being sent. Transfers of Rs1 to Rs1,000 carry a service fee of Rs35, while amounts between Rs1,001 and Rs2,500 are charged Rs50. The fee rises to Rs65 for transfers of Rs2,501 to Rs4,000 and Rs80 for amounts ranging from Rs4,001 to Rs6,000.

Customers sending Rs6,001 to Rs8,000 are charged Rs100, while transfers between Rs8,001 and Rs10,000 carry a fee of Rs150. The company states that these charges are inclusive of taxes.

For higher amounts, the service fee continues to increase. Transfers of Rs10,001 to Rs13,000 carry a charge of Rs200, while Rs13,001 to Rs16,000 are charged Rs250. The fee is Rs300 for amounts between Rs16,001 and Rs20,000 and Rs350 for transfers of Rs20,001 to Rs25,000.

Similarly, customers transferring Rs25,001 to Rs30,000 are charged Rs400, while the fee is Rs450 for amounts between Rs30,001 and Rs40,000. Transfers ranging from Rs40,001 to Rs50,000 carry a service charge of Rs500.

However, Easypaisa says not all transactions carry a fee. Many routine transactions may be free, while charges apply to certain specific services. According to the company, its service charges are reviewed every three months, meaning the applicable fees can change over time.

Cash withdrawals from an Easypaisa mobile account also carry a charge. The company’s lists a fee of 1.75 percent of the withdrawal amount, including taxes. For example, withdrawing Rs10,000 would result in a charge of around Rs175, while a Rs20,000 withdrawal could cost approximately Rs350. Meanwhile, Easypaisa states that its ATM card does not have a monthly or annual fee.

Easypaisa has advised its customers to check the latest Schedule of Charges before using any financial service, particularly when transferring larger amounts or withdrawing cash. Easypaisa provides separate charge details for branchless banking and retail banking on its official website.
