PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government planned to establish a state-of-the-art hospital in Peshawar at an estimated cost of Rs4 billion as part of its efforts to strengthen the province’s healthcare system.

According to an official statement, the proposed Peshawar General Hospital will be equipped with modern medical infrastructure and advanced healthcare facilities to provide high-quality treatment to residents.

The government said the new hospital is expected to ease pressure on existing major public hospitals in the provincial capital while improving access to quality healthcare services for patients.

Reaffirming its commitment to public welfare, the KP government said investment in the health sector remains a key priority aimed at expanding healthcare infrastructure and ensuring better medical facilities for the people.
