PESHAWAR: In a major breakthrough in the Kohistan Mega Corruption Scandal, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recovered over Rs 51 Crore more.

Accountability Court No. 3 Peshawar has approved the application of accused Musharraf Shah to surrender his assets under plea bargain. According to NAB KP Investigation Officer Inayatullah Khan, the accused has surrendered assets worth more than Rs 51 Crore 80 Lakh. The surrendered assets include Cash: Rs 40 Crore 70 Lakh, and Properties worth Rs 11 Crore 10 Lakh

The total value of surrendered movable and immovable assets is Rs 51.80 Crore. NAB officials said this is a significant recovery in the Kohistan scandal. Billions of rupees have already been recovered in this case earlier and handed over to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. The Kohistan scandal is considered one of the biggest financial scams in KP history, involving embezzlement of billions of rupees from development funds.
